It’s that time of the year again, where we gather, cook, and eat until we can’t breathe. Whether you are traveling or sitting tight and staying home, there is nothing more inviting than a set dinner table. It’s a simple task that doesn’t require much. Just use what you already have at home.
I always repurpose the pumpkins that I purchased for Halloween, and tree branches cut from my backyard. It’s not necessary to use fancy china, although that’s beautiful everyday dishes will do. Both the bowls and dinner plates here are not a set but random finds from Homegoods.
Stemless wine glass | Red wine glass | Votive candle holder
Black and gold flatware | Dinner napkins | Dinnerware
I am a sucker for gold cutlery. I never have anything to wear, but you can bet I have an unnecessary amount of forks and spoons. It’s just my thing. Whatever mood strikes you this season, play on that and make it pretty. I know we’re all busy, and it may seem like extra work to do this, but my ultimate goal here is to create memories. I know that at the end of the day, my babies are watching, enjoying, and looking forward to this year after year. It would be the fondest memory of their mother happily setting the table and then wearing a robe to dinner because she chose to buy flatware over clothes.
Happy Thanksgiving!
